Why we started Rustic

Some of the best moments at home are the quiet ones: a book by the fire, a cool night on the porch, a Sunday morning that runs long. We wanted to make those moments a little warmer, with pieces that look good in the room and get better with use.

That search led us to alpaca. Raised in the high Andes of Peru, alpacas grow a fleece that is soft, light and remarkably warm. In the hands of Peruvian weavers, it becomes a throw you reach for every day and keep for years.

Rustic is the home goods brand of MIYACA RUSTIC HORIZONS LLC. We are an authorized retailer of handwoven alpaca throws from Peru, and we keep our collection small on purpose. Every colorway we carry is one we would happily have in our own homes.
