It starts in the high Andes
Alpacas live above 11,000 feet in Peru, where they grow a fleece that is soft, light and remarkably warm. Artisans spin and weave that fiber into the throws we carry.
Our story
Made by hand, made to last
Every throw is woven on traditional looms in Peru and finished by hand. Small variations in color and weave are part of the character.
- Warm without the weightAlpaca fiber traps heat in a light, airy layer, so a throw keeps you warm without feeling heavy.
- Gentle on skinAlpaca has no lanolin, which makes it a comfortable choice for most sensitive skin.
- Ethically handcraftedMade by skilled weavers in Peru who carry on generations of textile craft.

Shop throwsHow warm is an alpaca throw?
Very, for its weight. Alpaca fiber holds warmth in a light, airy layer, so even our baby alpaca throws feel gentle on a mild evening and cozy on a cold one.
What is the difference between the throw and the blanket?
Our alpaca blend designs come in two sizes. The throw (about 45" × 70") is made for the sofa or an armchair. The blanket (about 70" × 90") covers a full or queen bed. Baby alpaca throws are about 51" × 71".
How do I care for alpaca?
We recommend dry cleaning. You can also hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool wash, then lay flat to dry. Never wring or tumble dry.
